Live Webinar: 2024: The Export Control Year in Review

December 11 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm

$195

As we near the end of 2024, don’t be The Grinch. Whether from the office or your spare bedroom at Home Alone, come along with your friends from ECTI on a holiday tour extravaganza through the year’s U.S. export control developments. Some prefer A Christmas Story, others Eight Crazy Nights. Either way, as far as we are concerned, an Earnest (export compliance officer) Saves Christmas, not to mention their employer from costly violations. We promise not to serenade you with A Christmas Carol – we’re all about sharing valuable insights, not show tunes! The fact is, unless you are joining us at a seminar this autumn in cities like Amsterdam, Phoenix, or Miami (not In Bruges), it would take A Miracle on 34th Street to pack so much useful information into such a short time.

So, take ninety minutes out of a Wednesday to get up to speed on changes to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), and export control-adjacent, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) sanctions programs. You will leave this webinar equipped with key insights into 2024’s developments, the ability to cut through the clutter to what is essential, and a clear understanding of new regulatory requirements your organization should address.

Why? Because at ECTI, our feelings about the regs can be summarized in two words: Love Actually. And if this webinar falls While You Were Sleeping, remember you can always catch the recording later. We may even speculate on the impact of the 2024 elections, otherwise known as The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Join us for a merry and informative session—your holiday gift of knowledge awaits!

Topics will include:

ITAR
•  Revisions to the U.S. Munitions List
•  The new and improved exemption for Australia and the United Kingdom
•  Clarifications on when the ITAR does not apply beyond U.S. borders

•  DDTC’s best practices and recommendations for universities
•  Prohibited country updates
•  Proposals on defense services and registration fees

EAR
